Please be courteous when parking on Shawnee Bend 3 roads

Parking along our roadways that impedes traffic has become a problem, especially on busy weekends. It is important that parking along the roadways not impede through traffic.
Of special concern is access by emergency vehicles. Our fire chief has informed us that a minimum of 11 feet of available roadway is needed for their emergency vehicles.
The fire department can push vehicles out of the way for emergency access by their equipment.
Leaf disposal

Dumping Leaves in the lake or burning them on the shoreline degrades the water quality of Lake of the Ozarks and contributes to the muck that manages to find its way to the back of our coves. Not good.
Mulching leaves or using one of the many companies in our area for leaf disposal are two environmentally-friendly alternatives.
